Held at the Hamakua Ecology Center, Honoka'a, Hawaii.

Featuring the sacred tapestries of

Roger De La Rosa

and the high-speed graphic illustrations of artist Jim Channon.

Our week of spirit medicine began when we entered the sacred

Waipio Valley, where we connected with the rock spirits.

We gathered our individual pohakus and placed

their energies into our altar.

We also asked for our Aumakua

to join us and to protect us for the week.

The following day, Elder Hale Makua gifted us with his wisdom.

This generous soul and giant of Aloha was

himself the God he reminded us to be.

The day continued with lessons in extraction work

and on Wednesday, soul retrieval.

Hank prepared us for our journey into

dismemberment by telling stories of the warm, giant snake

which slept under his tent in Africa.

On Thursday, we paid our respects to the

Volcano Goddess Pele.

Later that night we formed a healing circle

and offered our collective healing energies to those in need.

On Friday we continued the healing work

and included our ancestors

as we journeyed into the afterlife.

Later that evening we were gifted

with an Awa Ceremony, offered by the

Na Koa Warriors

Our week ended with joyous celebration

and a lesson in belly dancing from Judith Shook.

We were all called to be a part of this magical week

and our agreement to meet

again in Hawaii was fulfilled.
